You may have thought of this by now but if you can't lick them join
them. Suggest that the course be cross listed in philosophy and
communications. Perhaps someone in philosophy can come in to your
class and have some share of the glory. If they don't want to do
that sort of thing they will just be getting in the way of a valid
effort on your part to answer a communications need. They must
demonstrate that they have the teaching personnel to handle
communications issues as well as ethics.
