Of "The Resistance," I would recommend A MAN ESCAPED (Robert Bresson),
because it conveys an overtly religious and humanistic perspective.

Some resistance/revolution movements other than in WWII:

SPARTACUS -- good slaves against decadent masters (resisting both slavery and
depravity)

THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD -- fighting the trappings of privilege both as
temptation and as oppression, and winding up with money and the girl anyway.

TERMINATOR  -- "the human resistance"
