                               POSITION ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
**ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR IN NEW MEDIA
     - Anticipated tenure-track position; Ph.D. or M.F.A. required.
        Responsibilities: conduct research and/or creative activity
        that explores the potential of directine/cinematography in the
        digital entertainment arena and teach graduate and undergrad courses
        in film/video/broadcast
     - Send application letter, vita, transcripts, evidence of
       teaching effectiveness, and three letters of recommendation to:
       JACK BOOZER, SEARCH COMMITTEE CHAIR
     - Preference will be given to applications received by Nov. 15,
       1996, but position will remain open until filled.
 
**ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF FILM/VIDEO
     - Anticipated tenure-track position.; Ph.D. of M.F.A. required.
        Responsibilities: Conduct research and/or creative activity
        that explores the potential of directing/editing in post-production
        environment and teach graduate and undergrad courses in film/video.
      - Send application letter, vita, transcripts, evidence of
        teaching effectiveness, and three letters of recommendation to:
        FRANK TOMASULO, SEARCH COMMITTEE CHAIR
        Preference will be given to applications received by Nov. 15,
        1996, but position will remain open until filled.
**SYSTEMS PROGRAMMER III
    - Anticipated position with responsibilities including software
       installation and upgrading; installation and upkeep of
       hardware; writing programs for visual effects created on the Cineon
       editing and composing systems; overseeing system support for
       industry/academic research collaboration involving visual effects
       technology. Requires B.A. in computer info systems or related field,
       plus 3 years' system programming experience or combination of
       training and experience.
     - Experience in programming with C/C++ for UNIX (tm) systems.
       Networking, graphic programming, video production or post
       production experience preferred, and a desire to be heavily involved
       with artists implementing tools or visual effects.
     - Send resume and three letters of reference to:
       WILLIAM EVANS, SEARCH COMMITTEE CHAIR
        Preference will be given to applications received by Nov 15,
        1996, but position will remain open until filled.
