The Society for Cinema Studies Conference is fast approaching.
This year it'll be hosted by the University of Southern California, May
23-26, 1991. The general theme is multiculturalism, but of course there
will be presentations on many topics in film and television studies.

Shall I part my hair behind? Do I dare to eat
a peach?
I shall wear white flannel trousers, and walk
upon the beach.
I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each.
I do not think that they will sing to me.
--T. S. Eliot
