Well sir, I completely screwed up the explanation of the ACKnowledgement
command in my last post. That's what I get for doing it from memory.
Please excuse the confusion. If you want to set SCREEN-L so that you
will be sent ACKnowledgementsof your messages' reception and
distribution, you must send the following to LISTSERV@UA1VM (or
UA1VM.UA.EDU, for Internet):
SET SCREEN-L ACK
Please note, this command must be the first line in your e-mail and it
must be sent to LISTSERV, not SCREEN-L, at UA1VM. To cut off the
ACKnowledgements, send:
SET SCREEN-L NOACK
Whew. I think I got it straight this time.
