Katherine Houghton, Katharine Hepburn's niece, played her daughter in
Guess Who's Coming to Dinner.  But the whole point of that movie was
the question of marriage between a black man and a white woman, which
at first scandalizes their parents.  But the movie proves that such
marriages can work in Hollywoodland, at least if the groom is Sidney
Poitier portraying a brilliant young doctor.   Andrew Gordon
