The people who make lightworks or distribute it are at about 20th Street
and Fifth Avenue in NYC.  Any professional editor can probably tell you
about AVID.  When last I checked, the basic lightworks unit was $70000
and that was with little storage space--not enough for a feature.  They
might come down in price for schools.  liz weis
