Certainly A CLOCKWORK ORANGE ought to on a misanthropic list--it is the one
film of Kubrick's in which the main character (and just about everyone else,
come to think of it) is at least a closet misanthrope.
 
But then I've also said that Kubrick himself is the most misanthropic director
of our times!
