You can add The Desperate Trail (now available on video) to that list of
snow globes on the screen.
 
And, yes, I do think the Citizen Kane element crosses EVERY filmmaker's
mind when putting in this prop, how can it not?  If they are referencing it
or not is a different story.
 
A question I'd have is how often did snow globes appear prior to Citizen Kane?
