I have no insider knowledge whatever about Michael Moore's treatment
of his crew, and perhaps I have rushed to judgement in his favor, BUT
his theme of corporate insensitivity is cogent, I think. General Motors
really has treated its employees like cattle, I suspect. Somebody needed
to expose it, and Moore seems to have done that. But did it really do
the auto workers any good -- as we asked earlier, did Kopple's doc really
do the miners any good? -- I dunno. Ernie.
