Re fun horror--if it hasn't been mentioned, Jacques Tourneur's Curse of
the Demon (1958).
Ray Milland plays, I think, a vacationing archeologist in the British
Isles who falls upon
some runes that lead him   to  meet, at the climax, one of the scariest
representations of the
devil that I had/have seen.
