POSTMODERN CULTURE--SPECIAL ISSUE ON FILM

Postmodern Culture, the online journal published
by North Carolina State University and the University
of Virginia's Institute for Advanced Technology in the
Humanities, is planning a special issue on film. Proposals
for papers on all aspects of film and screen studies
(including television and new media) are welcome.

Essays may draw upon all methodologies. The presentation
of the essays on the World Wide Web will make use of the
latest online multimedia technologies for image and sound
delivery. Therefore, the issue will demonstrate how film
and screen studies can refer to their sources in as intimate
a way as literary criticism and theory. The editors and
staff for the film issue will assist with the technology
and will be responsible for putting the essays online.
All essays undergo a review process.

Proposals are due by Dec. 30, 1996.
Essays will be due for review in late March.

Inquiries and proposals should be sent via email
to the issue editor, Robert Kolker: [log in to unmask]
