Film and TV Studies Discussion List <[log in to unmask]>
text/plain (38 lines)
SCREEN-L is three weeks old today (5 April).
In that short time period we've bulked up to almost 200 subscribers from
all over the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Germany, New Zealand, Finland, Hong
Kong, and on and on. I'm enthusiastic about SCREEN-L's potential for
dialogue about the study of film and television and, judging from the
lively e-mail conversation so far, so are you.
An unmoderated list such as this depends entirely on its subscribers for
its content. I hope those of you who have been shy about contributing
will post a message soon. There are no agendas on SCREEN-L--aside from
encouraging the discussion of the teaching, studying, researching, and
interpreting of film and television.
In short, I hope everyone will feel free to raise an issue, pose a
question, even pick a verbal fight. If there's a film/TV topic you're
concerned about, then slap it on here. SCREEN-L depends upon your input
for its direction.
But don't feel pressured to make some noise. Quiet listeners are
welcome, too!
