Often the US distributor uses the translation of the original producer.
These prints are made for international film fests.  These days it is not  a
matter of "the censorship of these films" by aUS  distributor... but because
the market is so small in the US, the translations don't get redone for the
US audience.  The average European viewer can pick up more meaning than the
US audience.
