Yes, Ermey has become a much-in-demand character actor.  He certainly has
been type-cast in military roles; he even provided the voice of the
sergeant in the Bucket o' Soldiers in TOY STORY!  However, he can excel in
other roles, such as the agrieved parent in DEAD MAN WALKING.
