The Department of Film Television and Digital Media within the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television invites applicants seeking a tenured position at the associate or full professor level in the area of Digital Media. The candidate will work in collaboration within an interdisciplinary and diverse environment and should have experiences and skills that demonstrate a strong interest and focus on the intersection of story, performance and new technologies. Teaching responsibilities include both theory and production courses within the professional MFA programs and the Cinema & Media Studies MA and PhD programs.

We are particularly interested in candidates who explore innovative ways that digital media technologies and production practices can enhance, expand, and transform entertainment, visual storytelling, scholarship, and the arts of film and television in rich media cultural environments. Potential areas of research and practice include: gaming, interactive narrative, digital cinema studies, viral and social media, digital media cultures, ancillary media platforms,  digital environments, and digital media and social change. We welcome candidates whose experience in teaching, research or community service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and excellence.   

Required qualifications include PhD and evidence of strong record in research, teaching, and creative media production.
