for piece on violence in cinema
 
need ASAP  name of "serious" silent film supposedly aimed at audiences of
higher tastes which nevertheless contain a fair amount of violent footage
prefer l9l4 or prior
seem to recall a film made in france  quite famous  about the assassination of
the comte d'guise  etc
 
also  the name of the commission formed in the l930s to investigate cinematic
violence and its impact
