Dana, Glad to see this as an old Columbia alumnus. You may already be
familiar with Patterson's book Cinema Craftsmanship (N.Y.: Harcourt,
Brace, 1920), which is based on her Columbia lectures in the teens. This
is a must when dealing with Patterson. I suspect that the oral history
collection at Columbia University might also yield a few nuggets.
Don't neglect White's photography courses at Teachers' College at Columbia.
Karl Struss and others studied there in the teens.
