PRELIMINARY CALL FOR PAPERS * FILM/PERFORMING ARTS/
POP CULTURE * 16th ANNUAL CONFERENCE ON THE FANTASTIC
IN THE ARTS * March 16th-20th, 1994

Due to a production delay, the official IAFA Call For
Papers has been postponed. In order to make certain,
though, that all interested parties have a chance to
respond by the deadline, I'm encouraging submissions
directly.

The 1994 ICFA's guest list is already taking shape,
and includes Roger Zelazny, Ben Bova, Brian Aldiss,
and David J. Skal, author of _Hollywood Gothic_ and
_The Monster Show: A Cultural History of Horror_.
Also attending the conference will be film/horror
scholar Douglas E. Winter.

Abstracts and proposals should be 250-500 words. You
are welcome to submit proposals for entire sessions or
panels as well. Some suggested topics are listed
below, although you're certainly not limited to these.
The deadline for submissions of abstracts, panels and
sessions is October 15, 1993.
