The reference book, Cobbett S. Steinberg, FILM FACTS (New York: Facts on
File, 1980), has yearly grosses AND he provides a good explanation of the
different ways that grosses have been calculated.
He does not include weekly grosses, but it's still a good resource for
financial data up until 1980.
