I'm looking for sources on _The Night of the Hunter_. Can anyone direct
me? It's not an easy film to find material written about. The main idea
for this paper (in a graduate course) is dealing with Brecht's aesthetic
influence over Laughton, which seems much stronger than his political
influence. I am very fortunate that there is going to be a local
production of _Galileo_ in a couple of weeks at Edyven Repertory Theatre
(www.edyvean.org), a theatre that is reliable for producing amateur acting
that doesn't look like amateur acting. (Often they cast professional
actors who just don't get paid for the particular show--but only the
non-equity ones can do that, as I understand.)
