Just wanted to second Colleen's reference here: the AFI guide was
(finally) updated in 1989. It contains the most complete info on
film/TV programs. It's already dated, of course, but it does provide
plenty of addresses for writing schools and getting them to send
 their propaganda...er...information packets.

The big schools are in NYC and Calif., as folks have noted already,
but there're also strong programs in the Midwest (Northwestern,
Southern Illinois University) and several Florida schools have
recently beefed up their film programs because of the recently
opened Disney and Universal studios (Orlando). You might want
to check into some of these off-the-beaten-path programs.

 Best of luck!
