THE GATE OF HEAVENLY PEACE: THE DEBATE CONTINUES
The Gate of Heavenly Peace, a 3-hour film by Richard Gordon and Carma
Hinton, about the Democracy Movement in China and events in Tiananmen
Square in Spring 1989, has sparked debate and controversy since its
premier at the New York Film Festival a year ago.
This conference addresses issues of media, censorship and interpretation
that are raised by this film.
