To the Screen-L group,
I am completing a book manuscript on the films of Alfred
Hitchcock, and the cost of permissions to reprint stills and other artwork
is going to be high--about $3500.
Does anyone know of any foundations whose missions might include
subvention for books in film? I will receive some institutional support,
but it will not be enough to cover the entire cost of permissions.
Thanks for any help members can give me.
