I have to admit that all this talk has moved me to rent TR. Watching it
again for the first time in two years I noticed a few things of minor
        1. How about all that doggone corporate plugging! I don't
think that I go to far to say that this flik has the
most corporate plugs since 2001. What do you think?
Was this simply an effort to create a sense of realism:
                or is it blatant money-grubbing.
        2. In a similar vein, did anyone notice that on Earth there
were Coke ads everywhere, and that on Mars there
were only Pepsi ads? Hmmmmmm . . .
        3. When Quaid & Laura are eating breakfast, did anyone notice
the ESPN ad on the TV? Who was playing? The Tokyo
Samurais and *gasp* the Toronto Blue Jays. As a
Braves fan I find this prophetic, yet sad.
        4. Finally, a word about the dome-puncturing bullets.
Who fired them? Agency people, and we all know that
Intelligence entities always navigate around SOP's
and other regulations "in the interest of security."
In this light, I think that scene is more plausible.
(my roomate deduced this, not me.)
For what it's worth,
Buck Jordan
