I asked this question a few years ago on another list. (I saw the original
theater runs -- great performances and productions.) As I recall, some
company (I believe in NY) owns the rights to the films and is simply not
releasing them, for what reason I don't know. Hopefully others on this list
may have more information -- I sure would like to have access to this
wonderful series.
