Reading "Loach on Loach" I was intrigued by the description of the early
60s British TV series "Z Cars."  It sounds like the sort of "gritty" and
formally innovative series that Americans didn't get around to until the
late 70s/early 80s.  Any UK readers know anything?  And have there ever
been US tapes of the series?
