Thompson and Bordwell's Film History: An Introduction includes all the
cinemas you mention and is accurate as well.  However, the down side to
inclusiveness is that there is little sense of the value of individual
films, as in Mast's/Kawin's history.  However, they do have many sidebars
that go more deeply into specific directors, movements, technologies,
