    dear all:
    anne friedberg's obituary in the *LA Times*
(http://www.latimes.com/news/obituaries/la-me-anne-friedberg14-2009oct14,0,4931419.story).
 we have not said anything on this list.  personally, i am at a loss
for words but i want to honor her memory.  we were colleagues at UCI
in 2000-2001.
