Chrys -- i'm sure Ronnie never saw this, but the first time i encountered
that vision of the welfare queen was when Holly Woodlawn tried to go on the
dole in Warhol's TRASH (1971?). S/he's pillow-under-the-dress pregnant but only
gets on the list when she trades her glittery high heels to the welfare fellow.
