Thank you Dr. Jenkins for the apology. Accepted with gratitude. Look, the
issues are subject to disagreement but the facts of the matter should be the
basis for discussion. PBS has lots of good shows. My argument is that these
shows would be there with or without the federal subsidy, because they are
the shows the audience watching wants to see and they will pay for them one
way or the other. Remember NBC's Victory at Sea? (The Civil War of its day)
or the NBC Symphony or Leonard Bernstein on CBS, or National Geographic on
CBS, etc. Even Ed Sullivan had ballerinas and opera singers!
