I just finished wading through my mail from the past weekend. These are
late offerings.
Roberta, I'm not sure this would qualify, since it's about an elderly
_woman_, but the TV movie _The autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman_ depicts
a 100+ year old woman recounting episodes from her life, ending in her
defiance of a segregation law.
Gloria, I thought of _Imitation of Life_ (the remake). The black child who
wants to be white (can't remember the character's name) manages to find
work in a club as a dancer. The scene doesn't focus so much on her
performing, though, so this might not qualify, either.
To all: All foreign nationals who come to Florida, with or without a
rental car, are destined to be shot! I'm a native, and I nor other native
Floridians I know have an agenda of killing off foreigners. If that were
the case, the foreign student population at FSU would be zero!
