More properly Israeli than Jewish, I suspect, is Mira Hamermesh's TALKING TO
THE ENEMY (1987), one of a number of Arab-Israeli encounter films of the
1980s. It seemed thoughtful and dealt as much (perhaps more) with each
cultural background than with then-current antagonisms. PJO
