Guess I have to agree with you.  The thing I found fascinating actually was
the struggle between the two women - Anais and June.  And of course the secret
life Anais was leading on a couple of levels, the affair(s) with Henry, June,
which were hidden from her husband, and the secret life she led in her diaires.
The film inspired me to buy a copy of Incest, the nly released part of
her diaries.
