Hi, this might sound like a very naif question, but I would still appreciate
any comment on it. I was discussing with some students, who were watching
silent films almost for the first time in their lives (freshmen), the issue
of visual evolution: at what point can we say that film-language changes
from simpler forms to the more complex ones we have today. Which would be
the films (from the beginning till now) that marked a turning point in
visual language, in music becoming more and more a soundtrack industry, all
this stuff. I do have some examples, but I would like to hear some ideas, if
possible. Hope anyone is interested and doesn't consider this a rather dull
question.
Thanks, Gabriela
