I don't think music videos require specialized training on their own,
since they are basically three minute commercials, but someone who is
interested in making a living with the form would do well to go to a
school that specializes in animation and experimental forms and
perhaps is strong in teaching digital video production.
 
That would be an interesting concept -- an award-winning experimental
filmmaker that pays the bills by directing music videos.
