Assistant Professor of Mass Media

The Department of Communication Arts at Salisbury University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Mass Media beginning fall 2011.  Candidates should possess experience teaching Broadcast Management and have the ability to teach Introduction to Mass Media, Mass Media in Society, Media Criticism, Mass Media Law, and Media Writing.  Utilization or instruction-based experience with integrated and social media is preferred.


A Ph.D. in Communication is preferred, and is required for tenure-track appointment. Evidence of effective teaching along with a style that supports a diverse student body is essential. The successful candidate will be expected to perform appropriate levels of scholarly activity, student advisement, and service.
