Britain's first foreign language nominee, Hedd Wyn, will be screened as part of
the UK/LA festival. It's scheduled for Sept. 24 at the AFI, so those interested
in the film might wish to keep an eye on the LA media around that date.

(From what I've heard, Hedd Wyn is a Masterpiece Theatre, well intentioned sort
of thing. Better yet, check out the short Scottish film being screened Oct.
21--Franz Kafka's It's a Wonderful LIfe. The title sounds like a Local Hero
 w/attitude.)
