The Society for Cinema Studies Award for for Scholarly writing
recognizes students who show outstanding ability in the field of
film and TV scholarship.
Cash awards of $250, $150,$100 are made to the winners, and the
essay receiving first place is published in Cinema journal. All
entrants must be enrolled in a recognized course in film and/or TV
studies at the same time of submission of their papers and must be
members of SCS. Essays prepared for the cousework may be
submitted. But previosly published ones will not be accepted.Each
student may enter only one paper.
All submissions must be double-spaced copies, typewritten on 8 1/2
by 11 paper and not exceed 7,500 words. Submit 3 copies of the
essay. Double-sided.
Deadline is a postmark of 11/15/94.
To maintain the anonymity of the entrant, the author's name should
not appear in the essay. The following should informayion should
appear on a seperate sheet: author's name and address,essay title
and identification of paticular course of study being pursued.
