I just found out that there was a Mexican adaptation of Mahfouz's Midaq
Alley released last year.  It stars soap opera queen and Robert Rodriguez
fave Salma Hayek.  The title is El Callejon de los Milagros.  Does anybody
know anything else about it?  US release?  Video?
