Speaking as a former Kubelka student, I would highly doubt that he would
allow for his film to be shown on video, since he (at least used to)
strongly believe in the difference between the two media.  Both the
Film-Makers Co-op in New York and Canyon Cinema carry "Unsere Afrikareise"
for rental, by the way.
