In 1909-1913, Bison Films and Thomas Ince made a whole series of films very
sympathetic to the Native American side of Manifest Destiny, starring a troop
of Native Americans, including Red Wing and  William Eagle Shirt, while at
Pathe James Young Deer directed and starred in "Indian Westerns."
