I agree, Speed just didn't live up to all its lofty praise--Reeves had
not one articulate line (was he playing at playing Stallone and Arnold?);
J. Daniels looked like a fish out of water in this picture; the actress
behind the wheel deserves a special academy award for single handedly
saving this picture from dulldom; Hopper's character lost all his
credibility when he started dancing around on the subway car--and notice
how he grew less and less articulate as the movie progressed, as if
trying to speak to Reeves on the boys level; what else, oh yea, I liked
the film fine
