        Orson Welles broke his ankle running down the stairs in pursuit of
"Boss" Jim Gettys in one of the scenes of "Citizen Kane".  The same photograph f
   rom Film Art is also found in David Cook's "A History of Narrative Film" (whi
   ch is where I found out about the ankle--page 409)
