Dear Screen-L Participants,

I have been enjoying this list serve for a long time as a lurker. Now I
want to formally come out with a question. My organization is allowing me,
if I choose, to organize a convening concerning emerging trends in
storytelling and aesthetics. Often these changes are due to digital
technology which has radically changed the process of production, exhibition
and distribution. This would be an area of intense focus. Do any of you see
a need for such a convening (probably to be held later this year) or are we
already awash in convenings that lead to little? Any input would be
helpful, whether it be suggestions of possible topics for a convening that
you would find useful, or types of participants you would want access to
(ex: distributors), etc. Thanks very much.

Christine Giraud
