Moderator's note:  I'm pulling the plug on this thread (ooh, there's
a mixed metaphor for you).
 
I think we've established that SCREEN-L is intended to be a forum
for the discussion of film/TV from throughout the world and that SCREEN-L
posts should always bear in mind that the list's readers are from
all five (?) continents.
 
And now back to the discussions already in progress...
