As an entertainment writer, film critic, and overall film industry
observer, I agree with above posting that "Living in Oblivion" was a
terrific film--a must-see for any young budding filmmaker who wants to see
what life at that stage is "really like."  DeCillo, though, was actually a
veteran filmmaker ("Johnny Suede") and so, this was not quite the ground
floor filmmaking success that, say, Ed Burns' "Brothers McMullen" was.
Both, however, strong examples of good filmmaking on a very small budget.
