      Washington Independent Writers (WIW) seeks qualified candidates for
the position of Executive Director to carry out Board of Directors'
policies and manage daily operations of a 1,400-member writers' membership
association in Washington, D.C.

      Candidate will have experience in managing a non-profit organization
and a proven record of fund-raising success; will demonstrate excellent
verbal and written communication skills; will be capable of overseeing
daily financial operations, ensuring efficient records and database
systems, ensuring high-quality publications, servicing membership, and
supervising and training staff.

      Minimum of bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
Salary $43,000 - $48,000 plus benefits and bonus plan. For details and
