Dirk,
Consider...
Super Mario Brothers (1993)
Street Fighter (1994)
Double Dragon (1994)
Mortal Kombat (1995)
Mortal Kombat 2: Annihilation (1997)
Wing Commander (1999)
Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001)
And contrary to the claim of Dan Keyes, "Tron" was not based on a
computer game, but merely made to look like one. The game "Tron" actually
appeared after the film's release. However, the film "The Last Starfighter"
(1984) was built around a game of the same title that Atari had on the
market before the film's release.
