Screen-Lers,
I'm wondering if anyone might know of a cinematic version of Conrad's
novella that starred Boris Karloff as Kurtz and Roddy McDowell as
Marlow. I saw a brief clip of Karloff in a scene from the film, but my
search for more details has led to a deadend. The role/film doesn't
appear in Karloff's filmography, at least not in the several I've found,
and I haven't been able to verify that the film even exists. (The clip
was shown on an A&E biography of Karloff.) Perhaps it had a different
title.
At any rate, if anyone recalls the film, I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks,
Dave Blakesley
